Savour is a food-first travel planner. This policy explains what we collect when you use the Savour app or website, why we collect it, who else touches it, and how you get rid of it. Plain language, no dark patterns.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising or ad targeting.
Only the service providers we need to run Savour. Each one gets only what that job requires:
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of Savour and its users.
Savour lets you publish a trip, a recap or a collection to a shareable link. Anything you publish that way is visible to anyone who has the link, and may be seen by search engines. Sharing is off by default and you can switch it off again at any time. When you close your account, every page you published is taken offline automatically.
We keep your data while your account is open. You can delete individual trips, places and photos at any time from inside the app.
You can close your account from Settings → Danger zone → Delete account, in the app, without emailing anyone. When you do: your public pages come down immediately, your profile details (name, picture, taste profile) are erased, your email address is anonymised, and the account is locked so it cannot be signed into again. Your remaining trip records are retained in a de-identified form so that our data stays internally consistent, and are purged on our regular deletion cycle. If you want everything erased on the spot instead, email us and we will do it.
Depending on where you live — the UK, EU, California and others — you have the right to access, correct, export or erase your personal data, and to object to some processing. Email us at hello@savour.app and we will respond within the period the law allows.
Data is encrypted in transit. Access to your records is enforced at the database level, so one account cannot read another’s trips, places or photos. Fields that only our servers may set are held where the app cannot write to them. No system is perfect, but we take this seriously and fix what we find.
Savour is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will remove it.
Our providers may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page, and tell you in the app if the change is significant.
Questions, requests, or a privacy problem to report: hello@savour.app.
